Ugh, lots of traveling lately, but no more trips are in the near future
so hopefully I'll be a bit more responsive. But enough about me
slacking off...
Odds and ends:
- Talks with OSDL about the issues we have are going well,
although it looks like things have stopped again for some unknown
reason. Hopefully this changes soon.
- It's amazing the articles I've seen written about the "Linux is
slowing down" comment from Linus and Andrew. Just goes to show you
how hard it is for some people to recognize sarcasm in email. People
also need to realize that comments like this, and way worse happen all
the time with developers internal to companies. Just with Linux we do
it all in the open and people aren't used to seeing that...
- Gave a talk about the Linux driver model at the annual SuSE Labs
Conference. Was a lot of fun, as I realized that I had never given a
real talk about this topic.
- Ugh, the class rework work is a mess. Spent today with one kernel
crash after another while trying to rework things into a sane
interface. Finally realized that I was going down another dead end.
Really wanted to get this into 2.6.15, but don't know if it's going to
happen or not...
- I moved one of my real old articles about writing portable Linux
device drivers over to the kernelnewbies wiki. I had considered
creating my own wiki on my server to put all of my old articles in,
but figured I should just use a place where more people can benifit
from it. Will try to move more of my articles there, and possibly
some of the chapters of the Linux Device Drivers book.
Oh, the title? That was the message I got on my phone when I tried to
dial a number while in Prague. Not quite sure what it was supposed to
mean, I had just gotten the international code to dial home wrong...
